Sokcho, Gangwon-Do, South Korea
Hello from South Korea!
Here’s to my first post in South Korea! TaLK Orientation has officially ended, and I’m fully settled into my town! When they said they will place me in rural Korea, I did not expect this! This is as rural as it is going to get! I’m actually currently using the local coffee shop’s wifi to access the internet >< No internet is hard for us young generations sigh
Anyways, this past weekend was the first weekend for free time! I got to know several of the other English teachers in Inje-Gun, so we all went on a day trip to Sokcho! The place is situated on the coast of Gangwon-Do, and it takes about an hour to get there from Inje town center.
Needless to say, this place is a piece of art itself. It is freaking beautiful!
The beach was beautiful, the traditional market was fun and busy, the streets are just great. I love this place a lot (but then I love everywhere) haha.
The beach is so beautiful! A lot of families were here enjoying their time together!
Btw, I’m a huge BTS fan, so there was a puma shop and I actually got the Puma x BTS court stars! I can’t believe they still had my size!
The Traditional Market in Sokcho! It was Packed on the weekend!
