Nami Island: the filming place for Winter Sonata -> A place known for its romantic sceneries and definitely a hot tourist place nestled in Korea (in Gangwon-Do). I am making it my plan to visit this place 4 times for its distinctive seasons since I will be in Korea for a year anyways… Don’t want to regret not seeing all sides of Nami Island when I’m back in Canada :P
Spring in Nami Island
This picture just shows the transfers I had to take to get to Gapyeong station… It’s pretty annoying to have to transfer several times but the price and the time it took was not that bad
On the other hand, you can also opt to take the ITX which is faster but costs more than the metro. I wanted to some time to myself and I enjoy taking the transit so I opted for the longer time, which was the metro haha

Gapyeong Station! If traveling makes you hungry, don’t worry! There are convenience stores and a kimbap place in the station so you can get your fix there!
There are two ways that you can take to get to the Nami Island Wharf:
By Bus or By Taxi
Bus
The bus station is right across the street from the Gapyeong station entrance. Cross the street and get in line… we took bus number 33-** (can’t remember), but I would just follow the crowd!
Taxi
Taking the Taxi is also another option for getting to the wharf but I can’t imagine how long that would take since the line is always so long!
Once you get to the Nami Island Wharf, you will be greeted by huge crowds of people and lots of tour buses… Fear not though, you will still be able to get good pictures (So remember, Go early!!) There is also Bungee Jumping at the wharf + another attraction Nami Island advertises is the Zip Line! You can literally Zip Line down to the Island (I plan on doing this during the Spring Season~)
And yes, You didn’t read it wrong… To enter Nami Island, you would need to ‘immigrate’ to the island (which I think is creative~)
There are lots of people and you would need to get in line to buy a ticket for Nami Island (₩10,000 regular; ₩8,000 for foreigners - you can get it with your passport or your ARC)!
After that, you just need to enter the gate and board the ferry to get to the island!
The ferry was quite crowded and I suggest staying near the place you got on the ferry as that is actually the front of the boat!
