Essentially, this program is offered by the Korean Government to give Native English Speakers a chance to discover themselves, both professionally and personally.
This program offers a scholarship, and successful applicants (TaLK scholars) will be placed all across rural parts of Korea in hopes of providing English education to places that have limited resources.
The scholar will…
- Teach 15 hours a week in rural Korea
- Monthly pay of 1.5 million Won (KRW) per month
- Accommodation paid for
- One-month long orientation where you get to know other scholars
- Medical insurance coverage
- Settlement allowance of 300,000 Won (KRW)
- Flight allowance: 1.3 million Won (KRW) x 2
- Certificate of completion
- Vacation Leave
Now I would say this seems like a dream come true!
